On a significant day for Kinnaur district, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced developmental projects worth Rs 30.70 crore. These projects aim to directly benefit the local residents.

Inaugurations and Foundations

CM Sukhu inaugurated an EVM storage warehouse in Recongpeo, costing Rs 2.69 crore, and six Type-II quarters for treasury staff at Rs 94.95 lakh. A 250 MT Controlled Atmosphere storage facility was also opened, built with Rs 6.85 crore.

He laid foundation stones for flood protection works at Rokti Nallah in Sangla and Shango in Katgaon, with budgets of Rs 1.35 crore and Rs 6.95 crore respectively. Additional projects include flood protection in Sapni village (Rs 5.13 crore), channelization of Kotangtee Khad (Rs 1.88 crore), and a flood protection project on the Baspa River (Rs 94.38 lakh). A sewerage scheme for Namgia village worth Rs 3.96 crore was also initiated.

Commitment to Welfare

CM Sukhu emphasized the state government’s dedication to improving the lives of Kinnaur residents, especially in tribal areas. Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi thanked the Chief Minister, highlighting the long-term benefits of these projects.
