Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman, along with his family, visited the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Dressed in formal attire, Laxman sought blessings and was honored by temple officials.
Pran-Pratistha Ceremony
The Pran-Pratistha ceremony in Ayodhya attracted notable figures including Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal, IOA president PT Usha, and cricketers Anil Kumble and Venkatesh Prasad. The temple’s entrance is on the eastern side, accessible via 32 stairs through the Singh Dwar. It includes five halls: Nritya Mandap, Rang Mandap, Sabha Mandap, Prathana Mandap, and Kirtan Mandap.

Nearby is the ancient Sita koop well. The Kuber Tila area has a restored temple of Bhagwan Shiv and a statue of Jatayu. The temple’s foundation is made of roller-compacted concrete, with no iron used, and a granite plinth for moisture protection.

The Pran Pratishtha ceremony will include representatives from major spiritual and religious sects, as well as various tribal communities. The Prime Minister will address the gathering, and the ceremony will follow Shastriya protocols in the Abhijeet Muhurta.
