Congress general secretary KC Venugopal has responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s claims that the Congress Party has not fulfilled its promises in Karnataka. Venugopal asserted that the Congress is indeed implementing its promises and invited anyone to verify this. He accused the central government of failing to deliver on its own promises and shifting the blame onto Congress.

He urged citizens to be cautious of Congress’s promises, highlighting issues in states governed by Congress, such as delayed salaries in Himachal Pradesh and unmet farmer waivers in Telangana.

Congress’s Response

In response, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge advised party units to announce guarantees based on their budgets to avoid financial issues. He emphasized fiscal responsibility to prevent future hardships.
