Statue Unveiling and Museum Opening in Tawang
In Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, Governor Lt. General KT Parnaik (Retd.) participated in the virtual unveiling of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s statue and the inauguration of the Major Bob Khating Museum of Valour by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The event marked Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, celebrating Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary.
The Governor emphasized Arunachal Pradesh’s integral role in India, crediting Sardar Patel and Major Bob Khating for their contributions to the nation’s unity. He praised Sardar Patel’s perseverance and integrity, encouraging youth to adopt these values for personal and societal growth, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat.’
Major Khating’s museum highlights his impact on north-eastern India, inspiring leadership and patriotism. The Governor commended Chief Minister Pema Khandu and his team for their efforts in organizing the event.
Chief Minister Khandu and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju also attended, honoring the contributions of Sardar Patel and Major Khating to India’s sovereignty.
