CPI Leader D Raja Criticizes Congress Over Seat Sharing in INDIA Block

Communist Party of India (CPI) General Secretary D Raja has expressed dissatisfaction with the Congress party for not involving ally parties in the INDIA block regarding seat sharing. He emphasized that Congress should focus on its electoral strategy and question its own actions rather than the BJP’s. D Raja highlighted the need for mutual trust among secular parties to effectively defeat BJP.

Concerns Over Seat Sharing

D Raja pointed out issues in Haryana, where Congress promised but later denied assembly seats to allies, leading to BJP’s third consecutive government formation. Similar dissatisfaction was noted in Jharkhand and Maharashtra, where CPI was denied seats or given fewer than requested.

Upcoming Elections

The assembly elections in Jharkhand will occur in two phases on November 13 and 20, while Maharashtra will have a single-phase election on November 20. The results for both states will be announced on November 23. In Maharashtra, Congress is allied with the Nationalist Congress Party and Shiv Sena, forming the Maha Vikas Aghadi. In Jharkhand, Congress maintains alliances with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Rashtriya Janata Dal.
