Assam Rifles Seize 90,000 Yaba Tablets in Tripura Operation
On the eve of Diwali, Assam Rifles conducted a major operation in the Narangbari area of West Tripura, resulting in the seizure of 90,000 Yaba tablets. The operation, based on specific intelligence, led to the arrest of two individuals and the confiscation of a vehicle. The seized drugs, valued at Rs 18 crores in the international market, were handed over to the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in Agartala for further action.
This successful operation highlights Assam Rifles’ dedication to fighting drug trafficking and illegal smuggling in the region. In a previous operation in September, Assam Rifles recovered 2,60,000 Yaba tablets from Khayerpur, further contributing to their anti-drug efforts.
