Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Spanish President Pedro Sanchez are set to inaugurate the Tata-Airbus C295 aircraft plant in Vadodara, Gujarat. This facility, a collaboration between Tata Advanced Systems and Airbus Spain, marks India’s first private sector Final Assembly Line for military aircraft. Of the 56 aircraft under the C-295 program, 16 will be delivered from Spain, while 40 will be manufactured in India by Tata Advanced Systems.

The plant will support the full lifecycle of the aircraft, from manufacturing to maintenance, and involves contributions from Bharat Electronics Ltd., Bharat Dynamics Ltd., and various private enterprises. This initiative aims to bolster India’s aerospace industry and promote self-reliance.

During his visit, PM Modi will also inaugurate several development projects across Gujarat, including road and water supply initiatives, totaling over Rs 4,800 crores. Meanwhile, President Sanchez will visit Mumbai to engage with trade leaders and the film industry, fostering collaboration between India and Spain.
