BJP’s Gaurav Bhatia Accuses Priyanka Gandhi of Incomplete Nomination for Wayanad Bye-Election

In New Delhi, BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia claimed that Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra did not provide all necessary details during her nomination for the Wayanad bye-election. He labeled the Gandhi family as the “most corrupt” political family globally. Bhatia referenced a Supreme Court ruling requiring candidates to disclose their criminal history and assets, which he alleges Priyanka Gandhi failed to do. He urged her to address these allegations publicly.

Priyanka Gandhi filed her nomination on October 23, marking her electoral debut, with the Congress party approving her candidacy on October 15. The Wayanad seat became vacant after Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, retained the Rae Bareli constituency. The bye-election is set for November 13, with vote counting on November 23.
