Vayu Veer Vijeta Car Rally Reaches Tezpur Air Force Station

The Vayu Veer Vijeta car rally, celebrating the 92nd anniversary of the Indian Air Force and 25 years since India’s victory in the 1999 Kargil conflict, arrived at the Tezpur Air Force Station on October 25. This rally, organized by the Indian Air Force and UWM, spans 7,000 km from Thoise in Ladakh to Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh.

Group Captain VK Gupta, the Station Commander at Tezpur, along with station personnel, welcomed the rally team. The rally had previously reached Guwahati on October 23. Aimed at inspiring youth to join the armed forces, the team visited Gauhati University on October 24 and Tezpur University on October 25, where they were warmly received by faculty and students.

The rally team includes Air Warriors, Army Officers, and Air Veterans. Notable participants include Retired Group Captain RC Tripathi, an ex-Para Jump Instructor and adventurer, and Retired Group Captain MK Sharma, known for his participation in car and bike rallies.

The rally was flagged off from Air Force Station Borjhar by Air Commodore SS Prabhune and will proceed to Dirang in Arunachal Pradesh on October 26, before concluding in Tawang.
