At the Asia-Pacific Conference, Habeck underscored India’s vital role as a global partner in economic shifts. He stressed the importance of an EU Free Trade Agreement with India. Prime Minister Modi praised the strong partnership between India and Germany, noting Germany’s trust in India.

German Chancellor Scholz’s Visit

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is also in India for a two-day state visit, marking his third visit since becoming Chancellor in 2021. His previous visits included a bilateral State Visit in February 2023 and the G20 Leaders’ Summit in September 2023.
