Congress Leader Pranav Jha Responds to BJP’s Allegations on Wayanad Nomination

In New Delhi, Congress leader Pranav Jha addressed allegations from the BJP regarding the nomination process of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Wayanad. The BJP claimed that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge was kept outside during the nomination. Jha explained that due to a rule by the district magistrate, only five people were allowed in the room at a time. He stated that Kharge and KC Venugopal took turns entering the room, as shown in a video. Jha accused the BJP of spreading lies to divert attention from real issues.

Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma criticized the Congress, accusing them of practicing untouchability and mistreating Dalits. He claimed that the incident with Kharge exposed the Congress’s treatment of Dalits as third-class citizens.

Priyanka Gandhi filed her nomination papers at the district collector’s office in Kalpetta, Kerala. Before the nomination, she and Rahul Gandhi held a roadshow and public rally, thanking the people of Wayanad for their support. The Wayanad seat was vacated by Rahul Gandhi, who retained the Rae Bareli Lok Sabha Constituency. The by-election in Wayanad is set for November 13.
