In a series of successful operations, the Indian Army and Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Manipur Police and other security forces, have recovered 11 weapons and other war-like items from various regions in Manipur. These operations took place in the districts of Churachandpur, Chandel, and Thoubal.

Operations in Churachandpur

On October 22, a coordinated operation in Churachandpur district led to the recovery of two country-made mortars, a country-made pistol, grenades, explosives, ammunition, and other war-like stores. This operation was conducted by the Indian Army, Manipur Police, and CRPF in the Thoroilok Area.

Findings in Lamzang Village

On the same day, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police recovered a .303 rifle, a single-barrel rifle, ammunition, and war-like stores from Lamzang village, near Bongbal village.

Chandel District Operations

In Chandel district, Assam Rifles conducted combing operations between Songkhom and Gunjil village, recovering an automatic weapon, two locally-made mortars, a single-barrel gun, ammunition, and war-like stores.

Thoubal District Discoveries

On October 23, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police found a 9mm country-made pistol, a single-barrel breech-loading gun, two grenades, ammunition, and war-like stores in Kwarok Maring village, Thoubal district.

These successful recoveries highlight the effective cooperation between the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and law enforcement agencies, showcasing their dedication to maintaining peace and security in the region.
