Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Nominated for Wayanad Bye-Elections

On October 23, Congress leader Pramod Tiwari expressed his support for Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s nomination for the Wayanad bye-elections. Tiwari praised her courage and ability to speak the truth in parliamentary language, calling it a significant day for both Priyanka and the Indian Parliament. He thanked Rahul and Sonia Gandhi for her nomination, highlighting her extraordinary talent.

In contrast, BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar criticized Priyanka’s nomination, suggesting it was an attempt to deceive the people of Wayanad. He argued that the residents might be skeptical after Rahul Gandhi’s previous term as MP. Chandrasekhar endorsed the NDA candidate, Navya Haridas, emphasizing her qualifications and experience as a public servant. He described Haridas as a dynamic and hardworking candidate, contrasting her with Priyanka, whom he labeled as an “entitled dynast.”

The Wayanad seat was vacated by Rahul Gandhi, who retained the Rae Bareli Lok Sabha Constituency. Priyanka Gandhi faces competition from BJP’s Navya Haridas and LDF’s Sathyan Mokeri. The by-poll is scheduled for November 13.
