BJP’s Pradeep Bhandari Criticizes Arvind Kejriwal Over Delhi’s Alarming Air Pollution

Delhi’s Air Pollution Crisis: BJP’s Pradeep Bhandari Criticizes Arvind Kejriwal

As air quality in New Delhi worsens, BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari criticized former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP government. Bhandari stated, “The pollution in Delhi has reached a life-threatening level. Today, you can’t walk around Delhi without a mask.”

He accused Kejriwal of failing to address pollution despite promises made when his party came to power in Punjab. Bhandari highlighted that the air quality index (AQI) in Delhi has reached the ‘very poor’ category, with an AQI of 385, and criticized Kejriwal for blaming neighboring states instead of taking responsibility.

Bhandari also mentioned Kejriwal’s unfulfilled promise to install sewage treatment plants in the Yamuna River, which remains polluted. He expressed concern for children suffering from respiratory issues due to pollution and questioned Kejriwal’s priorities, pointing out the installation of air purifiers in Kejriwal’s mansion while neglecting the needs of children in slums.

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) warned of health impacts due to the ‘very poor’ air quality, with smog affecting visibility in areas like Anand Vihar and Ghazipur. The pollution levels are expected to remain high unless weather conditions improve.
