Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan Visits Singapore

Union Minister for Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, recently visited Singapore to meet with Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. The discussions centered on enhancing cooperation in school education, vocational training, and research. The partnership aims to strengthen ties through three main pillars: Talent, Resource, and Market.

India-Singapore Knowledge Partnership

Pradhan emphasized India’s view of Singapore as a trusted knowledge partner, especially in deep tech, startups, and innovation ecosystems. He shared on social media about the meaningful conversations with PM Wong, highlighting the robust framework laid out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and PM Wong to transform cooperation into a comprehensive partnership.

Meeting with Singapore’s Foreign Minister

Pradhan also met with Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan to discuss further strengthening bilateral ties in education. Both ministers agreed to enhance the India-Singapore Knowledge Partnership.

Visit to National University of Singapore

During his visit, Pradhan toured the National University of Singapore (NUS) and met with President Professor Tan Eng Chye. They explored potential research collaborations between NUS and top Indian higher education institutions in fields like medical technology, startups, and digitalization.
