Chief Minister’s Vision for Energy
Chief Minister Dhami emphasized the importance of transforming Uttarakhand into an energy state. He highlighted the need for power corporations to work diligently towards this goal. Development of New Substations
The Chief Minister instructed Pitkul officials to speed up the development of five new substations, which began in September 2024.
Pitkul’s Achievements
Pitkul’s Managing Director, P.C. Dhyani, reported a significant profit increase to Rs 141.67 crore in the 2023-24 financial year, up from Rs 26.99 crore in 2022-23. Over the past three years, Pitkul has issued a Rs 5 crore dividend annually to the Uttarakhand government.
Transmission and Consumer Benefits
Pitkul’s transmission availability is at 99.70 percent, surpassing the national standard. This efficiency allows electricity consumers to receive discounts on their tariffs, benefiting from the incentive amount received by Pitkul.
