In Quetta, Pakistan, Baloch activist Mahrang Baloch has raised concerns over the increasing number of forced disappearances in the region. Recently, 12 Baloch individuals, including a Station House Officer (SHO) from Pakistan’s Levies, were reported missing in Dera Bugti. This incident has prompted the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) to seek international support to address these ongoing issues.

Call for International Support

Mahrang Baloch, in a post on social media, highlighted the plight of the families of the disappeared individuals, urging everyone to oppose this “alarming wave” of disappearances. The BYC also emphasized the need for international human rights organizations to intervene and help stop these enforced disappearances.

Details of the Disappeared

The BYC provided a list of the missing individuals, which includes Wazir Bigti, SHO Tariq Bugti, Raees Bugti, Murtaza Bugti, Qasim Bugti, Barkat Bugti, Zahid Bugti, Parho Bugti, Fazal Hussain Bugti, Fazal Bugti, Juma Bugti, and Qurban Bugti. The families of these individuals are in distress, not knowing the whereabouts of their loved ones.

Recent Incidents in Karachi

In a related incident, four young Baloch men were reported missing in Karachi. These individuals, identified as Zain Baloch, Zareef Ahmed, Akram Baloch, and Anees Baloch, were allegedly detained by Pakistani forces during a raid at a hotel. The BYC confirmed that these men were in Karachi for medical treatment and were taken by authorities, leaving their families worried about their safety.
