The alliance had previously agreed on 240 seats, but discussions continued for the remaining 48 seats. The parties also decided to swap seats to tackle anti-incumbency issues, ensuring a strategic approach to their campaigns. Earlier, Sena MP Shrikant Shinde urged party workers to spread the Sena’s message, emphasizing the need for a Mahayuti government in Maharashtra.

Election Preparations

Following the announcement of the assembly election dates, Shiv Sena held a meeting to push for Eknath Shinde as the chief ministerial candidate. The BJP is expected to contest 150-160 seats, Shiv Sena 75-85 seats, and the NCP 48-55 constituencies. Detailed seat-sharing information will be revealed in an upcoming press conference.
