The Indian Army’s Tiger Division organized a special event in Jammu to honor ex-servicemen, particularly Gallantry Awardees and Disabled Soldiers, for their dedication to the nation. The ceremony, held on a Friday, was attended by Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar, AVSM, GOC-in-C Western Command, and coordinated with the War Wounded Foundation (WWF).

Over 250 ex-servicemen gathered for the event, where they received information on government schemes from State Government officials, including the Zila Sainik Board and Nationalised Banks. Various Indian Army departments, such as Record Offices and the Department of Indian Army Veterans, were present to address veterans’ queries and share information.

The Defence Accounts Department team resolved pension-related issues, while the local Military Hospital team attended to medical concerns. Lt Gen Katiyar expressed gratitude to the veterans, presented modified scooters and autos, and engaged in informal discussions, fostering camaraderie and strengthening bonds.

This event provided a valuable platform for ex-servicemen to interact directly with government officials and address various issues.
