Taiwan Detects Chinese Military Activity
On October 18, Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defence reported that 19 Chinese military aircraft and six naval vessels were detected near Taiwan. Out of these, 15 aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait, entering Taiwan’s Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ) in the north, central, and southwest regions.
Taiwan’s Response
In response, Taiwan deployed aircraft, naval ships, and coastal missile systems to monitor the situation. The Ministry of National Defence confirmed these actions in a statement on X.

He emphasized that China has no right to represent Taiwan and criticized Beijing’s actions as attempts to intimidate and disrupt regional peace.
