In New Delhi, a report by TeamLease Digital reveals that Global Capability Centers (GCCs) are set to increase hiring of freshers by 40% compared to last year. GCCs are becoming major employers, offering entry-level salaries up to 30% higher than the industry standard for sought-after skills. This trend is expected to continue into the next year.

The IT services sector is also anticipating a 20-25% growth in fresher recruitment, driven by demand for skills in software development, data engineering, and cloud technologies. Salaries in these roles have increased by 7.89% to 10.2% compared to FY 2024, highlighting the need for professionals with hands-on experience in managing business operations.

Senior management roles have seen a 21% rise in demand, with salary increases between 6.54% and 10.8%, due to the strategic importance of expertise in data engineering, product management, and DevOps. The shift to cloud infrastructures has spurred hiring in cloud engineering, development, and architecture roles.

The report predicts a need for over two million cloud professionals to support the rapid adoption of cloud technologies across sectors. Neeti Sharma, CEO of TeamLease Digital, emphasized the importance of aligning talent strategies with technological advancements, particularly in AI and cloud computing, and investing in upskilling programs.

Companies are also focusing on Tier 2 towns for talent, with government policies playing a crucial role. Hyderabad’s favorable environment is attracting tech companies, leading to higher salaries compared to other regions.
