Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel Launches Health Checkup Camp for Journalists

On October 15, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated a statewide health checkup camp in Ahmedabad. This initiative, part of the ‘Fit India, Fit Media’ campaign, was organized for journalists by the Gujarat Red Cross and the Department of Information and Broadcasting.

In a social media post, CM Patel highlighted the celebration of ‘Vikas Week’ to mark 23 years of Gujarat’s development journey, initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2001. The health screening program for media workers is a joint effort by the state government and Gujarat Red Cross.

As part of the Vikas Saptah celebrations, CM Patel introduced new provisions in the state’s IT and ITeS policy on October 14. These reforms aim to foster a strong ecosystem for emerging technologies and promote innovation, aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.

The updated policy supports the growth of deep-tech startups in Gujarat, focusing on technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Big Data, and Data Science. It also includes guidelines for IT and ITeS parks and ensures the state’s IT sector remains connected to global advancements by incorporating AR, VR, MR, and Quantum Computing.
