Delhi Minister Gopal Rai Criticizes BJP After NCP Leader Baba Siddique’s Tragic Death

Delhi minister and AAP leader Gopal Rai has voiced criticism against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government following the tragic shooting of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Maharashtra. Siddique, who was part of Ajit Pawar’s faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and a former Maharashtra minister, was shot near Nirmal Nagar in Bandra. He succumbed to his injuries at Lilavati Hospital.

Gopal Rai expressed his concerns, stating, “This incident is tragic. Mumbai is the country’s economic capital. Similar incidents are increasing in Delhi for the last 1-2 months. BJP has control over the law and order of both Delhi and Mumbai. I think the Home Minister and the BJP government should take this seriously. The kind of incident that happened in Mumbai has created panic among the people that who is safe today? The Home Minister should take initiative against the new gangsters that are emerging.”

In response to the incident, Mumbai police have presented two accused, Gurmail Singh and Dharmraj Singh Kashyap, in Mumbai’s Esplanade Court. Gurmail Singh has been remanded to the custody of the Mumbai Crime Branch until October 21, while the second accused will be presented again after an ossification test to determine his age. A search operation for a third suspect is underway.
