Accountability Committee’s Role

The committee includes Shah Farman, legal expert Qazi Anwar, and anti-corruption advisor Musaddiq. Their tasks involve reviewing corruption complaints, suggesting governance improvements, and monitoring the performance of Gandapur and other ministers.

Qazi Anwar highlighted the committee’s goal to expand the Anti-Corruption Department’s scope, investigating corruption cases involving high-ranking officers and ministers. After thorough reviews, cases will be forwarded to courts for further action. This initiative followed a meeting between Imran Khan and the Chief Minister, addressing concerns about ministerial performance.

Previously, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for not establishing the Counter Terrorism Department despite receiving significant funding over 14 years.
