Uttarakhand CM Dhami Inspects AIIMS Satellite Center Construction in Kichha
On Sunday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the construction site of the AIIMS Satellite Center at Khurpiya Farm in Udham Singh Nagar. He reviewed the progress with engineers from the implementing agency and CPWD. CM Dhami highlighted that once completed, the AIIMS in Kichha will provide comprehensive medical facilities locally, eliminating the need for patients to travel elsewhere.
The implementing agency reported that the AIIMS Kichha is being constructed according to the National Disaster Management Authority standards. The project includes a 280-bed pre-fabricated hospital on 100 acres, costing Rs 351 crore. It will feature state-of-the-art facilities such as ICU, OPD, IPD, a nursing hostel, and residential buildings. The boundary wall is nearly finished, and other construction activities are progressing rapidly. Additionally, tree planting and a proper drainage system are being implemented.
The construction is expected to be completed by 2025. During his visit, CM Dhami interacted with the workers, addressing their concerns and expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this significant development. He also planted a sapling on the AIIMS campus.
