Baloch Liberation Army Condemns Attacks on Pashtuns in Dukki

In Quetta, Pakistan, the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has strongly condemned the recent attacks on Pashtuns in Dukki, which resulted in the tragic death of twenty unarmed laborers. The BLA claims that this act of terrorism was orchestrated by the Pakistani establishment to incite conflict between the Baloch and Pashtun communities, a tactic previously attempted in the 1980s.

The BLA emphasized that Pakistan has consistently failed to break the longstanding bond between the Baloch and Pashtuns. The attack took place near the Junaid Coal Company, close to Dukki town, where heavily armed assailants targeted miners’ living quarters. The attackers used automatic weapons, rockets, and grenades, leading to the deaths of at least 20 miners and injuring many others.

Local coal mine owners, including district council chairman Haji Khairullah Nasir, expressed frustration over the lack of response from Pakistan’s security forces during the attack. The assailants even used drones to locate miners hiding in nearby bushes, showcasing their sophisticated tactics.

The BLA accused the Pakistani state of using such tactics to create division between the Baloch and Pashtuns and to mislead the world about the national liberation struggle in Balochistan. They also warned foreign investors about the risks of operating in the war-torn region of Balochistan and urged them to be cautious of Pakistan’s false assurances.
