On Sunday morning, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 shook the region of Udalguri in Assam, India. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported that the tremor occurred at approximately 7:47 am. The epicenter of the earthquake was pinpointed at 26.73° North latitude and 92.31° East longitude, with a depth of 15 kilometers.

The NCS shared this information on their social media platform, X, stating, “EQ of M: 4.2, On: 13/10/2024 07:47:33 IST, Lat: 26.73 N, Long: 92.31 E, Depth: 15 Km, Location: Udalguri, Assam.” Fortunately, there have been no reports of damage or casualties following the earthquake.
