JioMart Teams Up with Jharkhand Artisans to Showcase Handcrafted Treasures

JioMart, the online marketplace of Reliance Retail, has announced a new partnership with JASCOLAMPF and JHARCRAFT, two government bodies from Jharkhand. This collaboration aims to help small-scale sellers, including artisans and traditional weavers, by giving them a platform to sell their handmade products across India.

Empowering Local Artisans

Artisans from various towns in Jharkhand, such as Gumla, Saraikela, and Palamau, can now showcase their handcrafted items on JioMart. This includes products like wood and bamboo items, Dhokra artifacts, terracotta pieces, lac bangles, cotton handloom, applique work, zardozi work, tasar handloom sarees, men’s shirts, unstitched dress materials, handcrafted bags, bed sheets, paintings, and home decor items.

Support and Training

JASCOLAMPF, a State Govt Emporium from Jharkhand, will receive training and marketing support to help artisans reach more customers. Rakesh Kumar Singh, Managing Director of JASCOLAMPF, highlighted the rich cultural legacy of Jharkhand’s artisans and the benefits this partnership will bring to other small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region.

Preserving Cultural Richness

Ashwini Sahay, Deputy General Manager of JHARCRAFT, expressed excitement about launching on JioMart, which understands the needs of homegrown products. This partnership will help preserve India’s cultural richness by promoting diverse art forms from Jharkhand.

Since its start in 2022, JioMart has supported over 20,000 artisans and weavers across India. By working with government bodies, JioMart continues to bridge the digital divide and support the prosperity of the artisan community. JioMart, which began in 2020, aims to empower entrepreneurs and strengthen the small and medium business community in India.
