BJP’s CR Kesavan Criticizes Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge

In Chennai, BJP National Spokesperson CR Kesavan criticized Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge for his recent statements. Kesavan accused the Congress party of having a divisive and communal mindset similar to the colonial British. He highlighted past statements by Congress leaders, such as Sushil Kumar Shinde’s remarks on Hindu terrorism and P Chidambaram’s term ‘saffron terrorism,’ to emphasize Congress’s divisive rhetoric.

Kesavan argued that Congress has followed a divide-and-rule policy since Jawaharlal Nehru’s time, citing examples like the flawed Kashmir policy and the omission of Lord Rama and Krishna’s images in the reprints of the constitution. He claimed that Congress’s recent electoral defeats have led to desperate appeasement politics, while assuring that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will protect the rights of Dalits, tribals, and OBC communities.

Earlier, Kharge rejected PM Modi’s claim that Congress is controlled by ‘Urban Naxals’ and accused the BJP of being a party of terrorists responsible for heinous crimes against Scheduled Castes and tribals. Kharge criticized RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat for supporting a party that promotes disunity in the country.
