In a significant operation against drug smuggling, the Punjab Police recovered 10.4 kg of heroin near Sukhewala village in Amritsar. The Amritsar Counter Intelligence team intercepted two suspicious vehicles in the area. One suspect, Sukhraj Singh from TarnTaran, managed to escape in an SUV with an unidentified accomplice. However, another vehicle containing the illegal drugs was seized. A case has been filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, and efforts are ongoing to capture the fleeing suspects.
