On October 10, his adopted stray dog, Goa, was brought to the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai to pay last respects. Animal Welfare Initiatives

Ratan Tata’s philanthropic efforts included the establishment of the ‘Small Animal Hospital’ in Mumbai by Tata trusts. The hospital, operational since July 1, offers advanced diagnostic services and 24/7 emergency care for critically ill and injured animals.

Nation Mourns Ratan Tata

The Maharashtra and Gujarat governments declared a day of mourning in honor of Ratan Tata. The national flag was flown at half-mast, and no cultural or entertainment programs were held. Ratan Tata, born on December 28, 1937, in Mumbai, was the Chairman of Tata Sons and was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
