New Delhi, India – Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences to Noel Tata on the passing of his brother, Ratan Tata, a veteran industrialist and Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons. Ratan Tata passed away at the age of 86 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will represent the Government of India at the last rites, which will be conducted with full state honors, as announced by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The public can pay their respects at NCPA, Nariman Point, where Tata’s remains will be kept from 10 am to 4 pm on Thursday.

Prime Minister Modi shared his sorrow on social media, praising Tata as a visionary leader and compassionate individual. Modi highlighted Tata’s contributions to business and society, noting his commitment to causes like education, healthcare, and animal welfare.

Ratan Tata, born on December 28, 1937, in Mumbai, led the Tata Group to new heights and was known for his philanthropic efforts. He was honored with the Padma Vibhushan in 2008 for his contributions to the nation.
