IDF Destroys Enemy Infrastructures in Southern Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported significant operations in southern Lebanon, targeting enemy infrastructures. A total of 500 operational enemy sites were destroyed, including underground facilities and numerous tunnels. Over 100 weapons caches were also located and eliminated.
Key Units Involved
The IDF’s 36th “Ga’ash” Division led the operations, with participation from the Golani Infantry Brigade, Etzioni Infantry Brigade (Res.), 188th Armored Brigade, and 282nd Artillery Brigade. These units worked alongside the Oketz “Sting” Canine Unit and the Yahalom Combat Engineers Special Forces Unit.
Significant Achievements
The Golani Brigade successfully eliminated the Hezbollah commander in the Maroun El Ras area, impacting the enemy’s rocket launch and raid capabilities. The 188th Armored Brigade destroyed a key Hezbollah terror headquarters in Yaroun. The Etzioni Brigade targeted and destroyed underground infrastructures and raided nature reserves used as Hezbollah bases. The 282nd Artillery Brigade provided crucial covering fire, aiding in the destruction of Hezbollah infrastructure and launchers.
