PM Modi highlighted the launch of metro expansions, airport upgrades, and road projects. The foundation for Vadhavan Port, the largest container port in India, was laid, marking a significant milestone in Maharashtra’s development.

Focus on Youth and Skilling

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of skilling the youth to meet global standards, as India is seen as a hub of human resources. The Indian Institute of Skills in Mumbai was inaugurated to provide training in advanced fields like artificial intelligence and robotics.

Airport and Medical College Developments

The upgradation of Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur, costing around Rs 7000 crore, will boost sectors like manufacturing and tourism. A new terminal at Shirdi Airport, themed on Sai Baba’s spiritual neem tree, will enhance facilities for religious tourists.

Ten new government medical colleges were launched, offering specialized healthcare and increasing educational seats in Maharashtra.
