In Jaipur, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed his happiness over the Haryana Assembly election results. He stated that the people of Haryana have rejected Congress, and he thanked them for their support. Sharma mentioned that during his campaign in Haryana, he predicted BJP’s victory due to the enthusiasm of the workers. He believes that BJP will continue to win across the country and form the government at the Centre for the fourth time with a big majority.

According to the Election Commission of India, BJP has won 47 seats and is leading on one more, while Congress has won 36 seats and is leading on another. This marks BJP’s third consecutive victory in Haryana, where elections were held on October 5.

Congress’s Reaction to the Results

Meanwhile, Congress leaders Jairam Ramesh and Pawan Khera expressed their dissatisfaction with the results, calling them unexpected and against ground reality. They claimed to have received serious complaints about the counting process and the functioning of EVMs in at least three districts. Congress plans to present these issues to the Election Commission.
