Hyderabad FC’s Cy Goddard Encourages Team to Train Hard During International Break

Hyderabad FC midfielder Cy Goddard is urging his teammates to train diligently and learn from past mistakes as they prepare for upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) matches. Goddard, a key player in the league, previously contributed to Mumbai City FC’s success and played for Odisha FC last season. He joined Hyderabad FC as their first foreign signing for the 2024-25 season.

Goddard expressed his positive experience with Hyderabad FC, stating, “Everyone has treated me well here in Hyderabad FC. This is my third season in India, and I have begun to enjoy the experience.” He praised the team’s spirit, especially during their recent match against Chennaiyin FC, where they earned their first point of the season despite being down to 10 men.

Reflecting on the game, Goddard noted, “It was a very tough game in pretty challenging conditions. It was a very physical game. However, the boys showed good team spirit and managed to get a point out of it.” He emphasized the importance of teamwork and trust among players.

Looking ahead, Goddard encouraged his teammates to utilize the international break to improve their fitness and performance. He stated, “I think we will have a couple of days off, but we have a lot of physical work to do both in the gym as well as on the training pitch.” He hopes the break will help the team reset and prepare for matches against Jamshedpur FC and Mohammedan SC.
