Ajit Vinayak Gupte Appointed as India’s Ambassador to Germany

Ajit Vinayak Gupte has been named the new Ambassador of India to the Federal Republic of Germany. This announcement was made by the Ministry of External Affairs. Gupte, a 1991 batch Indian Foreign Service officer, is currently the Ambassador to Egypt. He is expected to take on his new role soon.

Previously, Gupte served as the Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark from November 2017 to March 2021.

Sanjeev Kumar Singla Appointed as Ambassador to France

On the same day, Sanjeev Kumar Singla was appointed as the next Ambassador of India to France. Singla, a 1997 batch officer, is currently the Ambassador to Israel. He will succeed Pavan Kapoor, a 1990 cadre officer. Singla is also expected to assume his new position shortly.
