In Ranchi, Jharkhand, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who is in charge of the BJP’s campaign in the state, announced plans to implement the National Register of Citizens (NRC). He accused the current Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, of supporting infiltrators for political gain.
