Dubai’s RTA Achieves 16.8% Growth in Digital Revenues for 2023

Mattar Al Tayer, the Director-General and Chairman of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), announced a 16.8% increase in RTA’s digital revenues for 2023, reaching AED3.705 billion. The number of digital transactions rose to 821 million, a 1% increase from 2022. Smart app transactions grew by 29%, totaling 15.299 million. The happiness indicator for RTA’s apps exceeded 95%, a 2% improvement from the previous year.

In 2023, RTA’s digital service channels had 1.404 million registered users, a 20% increase from 2022. RTA apps were downloaded 3.056 million times. RTA launched an upgraded Mahboob Chatbot with ChatGPT technology, offering advanced responses and better data protection. New smart kiosks were introduced, enhancing service delivery. RTA redesigned the customer experience for 42 services and deployed 30 new kiosks, generating over AED309 million in revenue, a 12% increase from 2022.

RTA updated the RTA Dubai app, adding an AI-powered parking prediction feature and an NFC-based nol top-up service. The Dubai Drive app introduced a vehicle plate transfer service and UAE PASS login. The S’hail app now includes bicycle and e-scooter lane activation, taxi stand locations, and event information. A QR code for journey planning was also added, with 18 million journeys planned in 2023.

RTA launched 63 new services on its website, including fine payments and marine transport rentals. The “Invest with RTA” platform was developed for investors. On the Dubai Now app, RTA introduced the “City Experiences” initiative and integrated services with private insurance providers. Eleven services were developed under the Emirati Package, and seven services were added to the Dubai Now app as part of the 360 Services plan.

Dubai Now app -: The Dubai Now app is a mobile application that offers various services for people living in or visiting Dubai. It helps users access government services, pay bills, and get information all in one place.
