Bhupinder Hooda Confident as Exit Polls Favor Congress in Haryana

Rohtak/Ambala, Haryana – Congress leader and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda expressed confidence that the people of Haryana have long decided to bring the Congress party back to power. His remarks followed exit poll results predicting a Congress victory in the state assembly elections.

Addressing the media, Hooda thanked the voters for a peaceful election process. He stated, “Exit polls came yesterday but I have been saying this for a long time: people have made up their minds to bring the Congress party to power with a huge majority.”

The exit polls suggest a strong performance by Congress, with projections indicating they could win more than 50 of the 90 assembly seats. The Republic TV-Matrize poll forecasts Congress winning 55-62 seats, while the BJP is expected to secure 18-24 seats. Other polls, like People Pulse and Dainik Bhaskar, also predict a Congress lead.

Meanwhile, BJP candidate Aseem Goel remains optimistic about his party’s chances, stating that the final outcome will be clear soon. He noted that the AAP did not play a significant role in the elections.

Haryana saw a voter turnout of 65.65% across 90 constituencies. The votes will be counted on October 8, alongside those in Jammu and Kashmir.
