Gangsters Resume Kidnappings in Pakistan’s Katcha Region

In Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan, gangsters from the Katcha region have resumed their criminal activities after a month of inactivity. On Friday night, they kidnapped three individuals, including two Hindus, in separate incidents. The two Hindus, Shameer Jee and Dheema Jee, were taken from their home in the Kalywali area by the Sukhani Gang, led by Kabul Sukhani, who has a bounty of Rs 10 million. The gang released a video demanding the release of an accomplice held by police, threatening harm to the hostages if their demands are not met.

Another person, Saleem Niazi, was abducted near Masoo Mor in the Muradpur region. During the incident, the suspects injured a motorcyclist and stole his bike. The motorcyclist was later taken to a hospital. The situation highlights the challenges faced by minorities in Pakistan, affecting their safety and daily lives.

In the past month, 12 people have been kidnapped in Rahim Yar Khan, with only four recovered by police. One abductee was killed when ransom demands were not met, and seven remain captive. Iqbal Hafeez, President of the Rahim Yar Khan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressed concerns over the deteriorating law and order, urging the government to ensure safety for traders and industrialists.

Accomplice -: An accomplice is a person who helps someone else commit a crime. In this context, the gang wants their accomplice, who might be in jail, to be released in exchange for the kidnapped people.
