Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Denies Centipede Allegations

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has strongly denied claims that a centipede was found in the Anna Prasadam at Madhava Nilayam. The Chief Public Relations Officer stated that these allegations are false and unfounded. TTD emphasized that the preparation of Anna Prasadam is done with care for thousands of devotees, making it unlikely for such an incident to occur.

Allegations of Defamation

TTD believes the claims are a deliberate attempt to tarnish the institution’s reputation and hurt the sentiments of devotees. They urged devotees to maintain faith in Sri Venkateswara and not be swayed by baseless news.

Political Controversy Over Laddu Prasadam

YSCRP President Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized current Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu over allegations regarding the Tirupati Laddu Prasadam. Reddy argued that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was unnecessary as no wrongdoing occurred. He accused Naidu of fabricating lies for political gain and noted that the Supreme Court reprimanded Naidu for his comments, which hurt Hindu sentiments.

Supreme Court’s Involvement

The Supreme Court has ordered a CBI-led investigation into the laddu prasadam issue, involving state police and FSSAI officials. Reddy criticized Naidu for continuing to spread false information despite the court’s intervention.

Accusations Against Pawan Kalyan

Jagan Mohan Reddy also questioned actor-politician Pawan Kalyan’s support for Naidu’s alleged false propaganda. The controversy began when Naidu claimed substandard ingredients were used in the preparation of Tirupati laddus during the previous YSRCP government.
