In Rohtak, Haryana, former Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda, along with his son, Congress MP Deepender Hooda, cast their votes as the Haryana Assembly elections 2024 are underway. Bhupinder Singh Hooda is contesting from the Garhi-Sampla-Kiloi constituency against candidates from BJP, AAP, JJP, and INLD.

Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s Confidence in Congress

Bhupinder Singh Hooda expressed confidence that Congress will win with a huge majority. He stated, “Congress is coming to power in Haryana with a huge majority. The high command will decide who will become the Chief Minister. Our government will work on unemployment, law and order, development of the state.” He urged people to vote peacefully.

Deepender Hooda’s Allegations

Deepender Hooda demanded the removal of Bhiwani SP, alleging bias towards BJP. He said, “We demanded from the Election Commission that Bhiwani SP should be removed. From yesterday, we have noticed that he is working in favor of a BJP candidate.”

Voter Turnout

Voting began for 90 assembly seats with a 22.70% turnout by 11 AM. Palwal recorded the highest turnout at 27.94%. Nodal officer Manish Kumar Lohan expressed optimism about surpassing previous voting percentages due to voter engagement efforts.
