Haryana Elections: BJP’s Confidence in Victory

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s Optimism

As the voting process continues in Haryana, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed strong confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) securing a third consecutive victory. He stated, “The wind is in BJP’s favor, and the lotus will bloom in Ladwa with a big margin.”

Response to Congress Claims

Addressing Congress’s assertion of winning over 70 seats, Saini remarked that Congress is dreaming, as they did in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. He criticized Congress for hindering development and disrespecting Dalits.

Appeal to Voters

Saini urged the people of Haryana to vote in full strength, promising development under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. He criticized Congress’s promises as insubstantial and accused them of being anti-reservation and anti-poor.

High-Stakes Election

This election is crucial as BJP aims for a third term, while Congress seeks to regain power amidst issues like farmer and wrestler protests. Key parties include BJP, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and alliances like INLD-BSP and JJP-ASP.

Previous Election Results

In 2019, BJP won 40 out of 90 seats, forming a coalition with JJP, which later dissolved. Congress secured 31 seats. The election results will be announced on October 8, alongside Jammu and Kashmir.
