Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi Urge Haryana Voters for a Better Future

On a significant election day in Haryana, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal encouraged the people to vote for a brighter future. He emphasized the importance of each vote for the state’s development. Delhi Chief Minister Atishi also highlighted key issues like electricity, healthcare, and education, urging voters to consider these while casting their votes.

AAP state President Sushil Gupta echoed these sentiments, appealing to voters to participate in this ‘great festival of democracy.’ Over two crore people are eligible to vote in the Haryana Assembly elections, which will determine if the BJP retains power for a third term or if the Congress returns after a decade.

The main parties in the fray include the BJP, Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), along with alliances like INLD-BSP and JJP-ASP. Voting is scheduled from 7 am to 6 pm across 20,632 polling booths, with 1,031 candidates contesting in 90 constituencies. Results will be announced on October 8, alongside Jammu and Kashmir’s elections.

In the 2019 elections, the BJP won 40 seats, forming a coalition with JJP, which later dissolved. The Congress secured 31 seats.
