Apple, the well-known electronics company from the United States, is planning to open four new retail stores in India. These stores will be located in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai. This announcement follows the opening of Apple’s first two stores in India in April 2023, which were in Delhi and Mumbai.

Apple has been making iPhones in India since 2017 and now has over 3,000 employees in the country. The company is currently manufacturing the entire iPhone 16 lineup, including the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, in India. These models will soon be available for local customers and for export to select countries worldwide.

At Apple’s annual event on September 9, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max were introduced. These phones feature Apple Intelligence, larger displays, innovative camera features, improved graphics for gaming, and are powered by the A18 Pro chip. They come in four finishes: black titanium, natural titanium, white titanium, and desert titanium. Pre-orders started on September 13, with availability beginning on September 20.

Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail, expressed excitement about the new stores, saying, “Our stores are incredible places to experience the magic of Apple, and it’s been wonderful to deepen our connection with our customers in India.” She added that Apple is inspired by the creativity and passion of its Indian customers and looks forward to offering more opportunities for them to explore Apple’s products and services.
