The Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir is all set for the third and final phase of Assembly Elections on October 1. A total of 704 polling parties have been dispatched to their respective stations with Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs), all under strict security measures.

Assembly Constituencies and Voter Details

The district comprises six Assembly Constituencies (ACs): Bani, Billawar, Basohli, Jasrota, Kathua, and Hiranagar. The total electorate is 5,06,679, including 2,65,420 male voters, 2,41,256 female voters, and 3 third-gender voters.

Special Polling Stations

To boost voter turnout and ensure ease of voting, specialized polling stations have been established, including all-women Pink polling stations, PwD manned polling stations, youth-manned polling stations, unique polling stations, and Green Polling Stations.
