Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj visited the site of a firing incident at a car showroom in Naraina, Delhi. The incident occurred on Friday, September 27. Bharadwaj was accompanied by AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak.
Concerns Over Law and Order
Speaking at the site, Bharadwaj raised concerns about the law and order situation in Delhi. He held the Union Home Minister and Delhi LG accountable, questioning how gangsters could operate so freely. He said, “In a posh area of Naraina, gangsters enter a car showroom, take staff at gunpoint, demand Rs 5 crore as extortion, and fire 24 rounds. Similar incidents have happened in Delhi at three different places.”
Durgesh Pathak’s Reaction
AAP leader Durgesh Pathak, who accompanied Bharadwaj, also expressed his concerns. He said, “This is the main market of the Naraina area and firing was done at a car showroom. Ransom was being demanded from them for the past six months, and they filed a complaint to the police and other agencies, but no action was taken. There is no law and order in Delhi.”
Police Response
DCP West Vichitra Veer responded to the incident, stating that more than 10 rounds of bullets were fired, and three suspects have been identified. He said, “We received information that some people had opened fire at a car showroom. Police reached the spot, and the crime team has also been called. More than 10 rounds of bullets were fired. There are no casualties. Three people have been identified who have opened fire. Teams have been formed to trace them.”
