Labourers Abducted and Attacked in Quetta and Panjgur, Pakistan
In Quetta, Pakistan, over 12 labourers from a private construction company were abducted, and their firm was set on fire by armed men in the Musa Khel area. District officials reported that the abducted workers included drivers and labourers. However, the Deputy Commissioner stated that the workers had fled to nearby areas for safety and later returned to the company site.
Earlier, in Panjgur, Balochistan, seven labourers from Punjab were killed in a terrorist attack. The victims, identified as Sajid, Shafiq, Fayyaz, Iftikhar, Salman, Khalid, and Allah Wasia, were attacked while sleeping in a workers’ quarter. Armed men stormed the site and opened fire with automatic weapons, killing seven and injuring another. Inspector General of Police Moazzam Jah Ansari confirmed the incident, and Panjgur SSP Fazil Shah Bokhari stated that the attack was a terrorist act. Investigations are ongoing.
