Heavy rains in the Terai region of Nepal have caused the water levels in the district’s rivers to rise rapidly, creating a flood-like situation. The affected rivers include Praman, Nuna, Lohandra, Bakra, Ratua, and Sursar.

Impact on Transportation

All trains from Jogbani to Katihar have been cancelled until further notice. Trains will now operate from Forbesganj railway station.

Residents from these areas have moved to safer locations.
